We are moved in..... and Loving it.

Raven's Room was painted by a group of teenagers from Mountain View High School. They did such a great job and she loves it.

The kids first pets after moving into the house were bunnies.

This is E.B (Engine Block) he was found under grandma's hood of her car. We took him in and he has been a fun crazy critter to have around.

Update....

It's been a while since i've posted anything. Things have been moving along very fast on the house. Its pretty much done. Today the counter tops went in. It is looking great. Everyone loves the paint job Brett did. It may be just white but every one can see how great of a job he did, especially considering the short amount of time he had to do it in.
The kids are getting more and more excited about the move.

Jordan was telling me how he wanted his room decorated. He is going to have a skateboard theme to his room. Raven is going to have a baby blue theme to hers.
Raven had to try out the new carpet. She said it was "Comfy and wanted to take a nap on it."
They loved the counter tops when they saw them today. Jordan said they looked really good. I was glad to hear they liked them becuase they did not help me pick them out. Everything that has gone into the house has been a surprise for them, but they are loving it all.
There is a lot of counter space in the house which we are looking forward to. It will be nice to have room to put everything in its own place. This is only the right side of the kitchen. There are more counters on the other side next to and above the stove and fridge.

They did such a great job on the house. I know it was frustrating at times trying to make it look good but Brett and Nathan did such a great job and we really appreciate them taking time to help us. I am one lucky sister! and the kids are very lucky to have an uncle that cares and wanted to help out.

Painting Day

On Tuesday March 4 Brett & Nathan got busy spraying the house. Brett sprayed and Nathan followed with a roller. As you can see they made sure they were protected while they spent the day in paint and fumes.

You dont realize how much paint is in the air until you take a picture and than it is nothing but a white cloud.

Prepwork Continues

Saturday, March 1st was a sanding party at the house. Brett, Rachelle, Brett D. and I spent about 4 hours sanding from top down and in and out.

Brett had to make sure Rachelle looked like she had been working, the finger prints weren't on her face right before I took the picture.

Today Brett & Nathan were again working away.
They did all of the caulk work and were prepairing the doors to be painted.

Our House

Well work is being done on the house and we wanted to share a short video with you.This was taken today, I went over to the house to chat with Brett and see how things were going. This is just a quick walk through of the inside of the house.

We are remodeling a house in Provo! We are building a house with Habitat For Humanity of Utah County. We had a kick of on Feb 13, 2008 and things have been rolling along ever since. The house is about 10 years old and we will be fixing it up and making it ours. The interior of the house has been gutted and and new doors and window seals have been put into place. The contractor has given the go ahead on painting. The painting will be done by Brett and a few of his friends. All of the hours they use to paint the house will be donated in our family name to count towards the 350 Equity Hours I must have completed before our family can move in. So Brett and his buddies will be due a few drinks when we get into the house! Brett and I went to the house today to take a look around. It needs some work but it will be nice once it is all done. The yard is a nice big yard so the kids will have a yard to hang out in and we can have some fun BBQs.
